Highlifes hiking trips are the best hikes throughout the city of Chicago! Not only do we have some of the most hilarious groups of people that you could possibly find, but we go to the most gorgeous places right outside the city! On this particular day, we are traveling to an entirely new world. The Chicago..Botanical Gardens. Today in the gardens, "A Midsummer Night's Dream will be performed in the garden @ 1 p.m.. So for those of you that are Shakespeare fans, be sure not to miss it! The vital statistics of Botanical Gardens are: 23 gardens, 385 acres total, 81 acres of waterways, 9 islands, 6 miles of shoreline, 15 acres of prairie & 100 acres of woods (and a birdie in a pear tree!). There is also a garden cafe to sit back, relax and have a great lunch! So many options today! There is a library that holds approximately 14,000 volumes & videos, or if you feel like it-jump on a tram & see some of the things that you are too worn out to view on your own 2 feet! If you love the outdoors, trust me, don't miss this one! Such beautiful sights!
